"Moovers" are responsible for relocating the herd when they are due to move to a new grazing area. The time between moves is dependent on the size of the grazing paddocks and the grass available and involves erecting a new fenced enclosure and dismantling the old. This is a very social activity and is a great opportunity to meet other members.
"Lookers" are placed on a rota and inspect the herd daily checking that they are all present and correct, have fresh water and that the electric fencing containing them is working. On average a looker is required to "look" once a month. Generally however Lookers regularly walk the common and check the herd even when they are not required to!
